First off, I am so sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. I couldn't believe it has been since August but i guess it has. I am not sure where I put all my spare time, I think it was spent playing Mafia Wars on Facebook. Or maybe trying to beat some pretty high scores on Bejeweled, which I must confess I have given up on.
Our Friday night was spent with old friends from when we lived in Colorado. All the guys worked together for the same company and have all gone their separate ways now. We don't see them often but it is always fun when we do. All of our kids are within a few years of each other so it works out for everyone. And there is an even number which I think is even better. Of course a couple of the older ones(not to mention any names but one is my child) don't love hanging with the younger ones. I think they really do but they don't want anyone to know. And the kids got a little bit rowdy, but it isn't a party unless something gets broken right? And it might have been the sugar and Shirley Temples I was feeding them so I will gladly take all the blame.
It was a good time had by all and a great way to start off my most favorite time of the year, Christmas.
Enjoy!!!

Bryttany turns 11
OMGosh where does the time go? It seems like yesterday she was still a little toddler running around, cuddling at night, trying to be a good "big" sister. Oh how I miss my little baby. There is something about when your first child gets older that you just cant believe. One of our Webster traditions is that the birthday person gets to pick an activity for the whole family to do, and Bryttany choose to go play putt-putt. Some weird people(Melissa :)) call it goofy golf, whatever that is. I know some of you are thinking, hello? Isn't it a bit hot? Well FYI it was a cool 96 degrees the day we went.
Kent had to work in her actual birthday so Bryttany and Aubrey got the pleasure of going to Spa Webster. They were beautified with mint julep masks, mani's and pedi's. They had popcorn to munch on and Capri Suns to refresh their palates. Bryttany does not like to be pampered at all so it was a stretch for her. She does take after me in she would love to blend in and not be noticed. But something in her face caught my attention and I looked at her and said, "You truly do not see how beautiful you are, do you?" (I might be a little biased but not much) And she tells me, "NO Mommy because I am not" Heart wrenching on one side, ecstatic on the other because it means no boys will be sniffing around here for awhile. Aubrey on the other hand, let me put it this way I told her A. She needs to work in a spa B. Work her tail off so she has tons of money or C. Marry a rich man who wants to do nothing but spoil her. She was a little too comfortable being pampered.
I love birthday dinners. That is the one time you can pick your favorite food and everyone has to eat it. Good thing Bryttany has good taste. We did my favorite Pepperoni PIzza Twist and a salad. She didn't want a cake this year so we did Brownie Sundaes with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Yummy!!!! It was a good day, a wonderful day to just spend time with the girls doing girl things. I don't take that opportunity as often as I should, but hey, here is to another year!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!
Oh gosh where do I even start with this blog. Where did 34 years go? I don't feel 34 years old but my body does tell me different. So I try to gauge it off where other people were/are at. I look at my mom. At 34 years old, she had four small children at home and one on the way(that was me) A husband who was 36 and a marriage that was 10 years old. Here I am am, two kids 8 and 10 (the same age as moms oldest) and husband who is older than he looks(don't worry honey I wont tell) and a marriage 12 years in the making. What I do know is 34 years old is different for everyone so far. And I can't mark my life off compared to someone else.
So this is what I do know, this is my year for change and branching out. Yesterday was a day we tried new things. We ate at Chino Bandido and had Mexican Chinese for lunch, oh and I had a beer before noon. Not that I am going to make that a habit but it was twelve somewhere right? Kent taught the girls to use chopsticks(Aubrey was a natural) and they loved using them so much they asked if we could get real chopsticks so the only logical place to go Lee Lee's market in Chandler. There is no way to explain it, but you have to go. There is a different lifestyle there that is completely different from my Chandler Az life. It was a window into a different world that the girls caught a small glimpse of. I hunted down some Japanese candy I had when I was about Aubreys age when we went on a field trip to Sakura Square in fourth grade. It is a chewy orange candy with rice paper which you eat and it is yummy. Both girls were a little reserved about eating it, Kent couldn't blame them. I asked them if they thought I would lead them astray. No hesitation and in perfect unison I heard a resounding"yes!" No girls, momma doesn't mess around when it comes to candy.
Well 34 years and we are racing to 35, but here is a little secret, hold on and hold on tight because this Webster Family is surely going for an awesome ride!!

Pizza Night
Ok so I thought I would give some insight into my favorite night of the week at the Webster house, Pizza Night! Sometimes it is Saturdays but most of the time it is Friday nights, a tradition carried over from my family growing up. We always seemed to have a few more people around on Friday nights because everyone knew Friday at the Rinks meant pizza....
Kent makes the dough and roles it out yummy thin. It almost like a pizza cracker. I keep asking him when is he going to throw it up and twirl it and he just laughs at me.
The pizza goes on the grill....
It is a family affair for the toppings, garlic and olive oil, cheese, pepperoni and seasoning and of course more cheese.
Even the dogs enjoy pizza night...
And here is the final, two pizzas, salad, gourmet beer(I had blueberry beer and Kent had some lemonade/beer thingy) and two sodas, a night that might get mixed together with all of the other pizza nights but priceless for making family memories!

First Day of School
OMGosh I don't even know where to start. First off I can't believe my girls are in the 4th and 6th grade. I remember Brytts first day of school. She wore these cute pink flowered shorts and white shirt. I had to put her hair in pig tails and they HAD to be even, there was a melt down if they weren't. Her shoes, pink high top cons that I picked out. I think I loved them more than she did. This year, black pants, white shirt, hair totally straight, a melt down if it isn't and BLACK high top cons, that I of course did not pick out. I guess you can say she has come full circle and she is coming into her own, which I do love. I look at my children and always wonder how many mistakes have I made that I can never take back with them. Girls are sabotaged by everything they see these days and my mother hen wants so desperately to protect them and know that I can't. I can teach them and train them but truly the rest is up to God and what he has choosen for them. I am already so very thankful for Brytt is. I look back at where I was in the 6th grade and Brytt is 100 % opposite of that, so I am blessed by God grace.
My baby is in the 4th grade.... Hold on I had to wipe a tear. Her first day of school? I don't even remember. I think it was probably too traumatic. I know she wore her nike sandals, they were a purpleish pink color and her hair would have been up on top of her head, like Pebbles. She would have walked in sucking on her first two fingers on her right hand and she would have been curling her hair with her left hand, thank goodness her hair finally filled in. She was so excited to go school like her sister, she wanted to be just like her. I think sometimes she still does, but like her sister, she is finding her own skin. She seems to be a little "darker" but that just makes me love her more. I worry about her boy craziness which started at a very young age(she had a boyfriend at three, Justin Mayfield, they were pretty cute) Sometimes I think she does it just to bother her dad and me. But God will always give us trials to stretch us and Aubrey just might be my daily trial, but that is ok with me. To know Aubrey is to love her and the more you know her the crazier and sweeter she is.
I am truly blessed my children and the young ladies they are becoming. I am excited to see what God has in store. The laughter and the tears. The boyfriends and the broken hearts. The hormones and the doldrums, I am ready for it all. I will wake up everyday and thank God for the girls he has given me and no matter what the day has in store I will go to bed every night and still praise him for the girls he has given me.

Spring Sports ala Webster
Well here we are in the middle of one girls season(softball) and at the end of another(soccer). Aubrey had another great soccer season and her team had a winning record. They had a few tough games and some heartbreaking losses. It seems to be the older they get the better the teams are becoming and they don't dominate the field anymore, which in my opinion is excellent. I think they need to earn their wins and it is good to lose. It will make them better players and teammates when they learn to win together and lose together. As much as I love soccer I don't know if Aubrey will continue with it. She has caught the softball bug so we will take this summer to decide what she wants to do. If it was up to me she would play soccer and stay in the sweeper position, a personal favorite of mine, but it isn't and whatever she decides will be fine after I shed my tears of course.
Bryttany has started softball this year and I think she really loves it. She is on a great team that plays really well together. They had a really rough season and learned how to lose with grace but they are in the playoffs and they are 2-0. It is double elimination and if they win their next game they are automatically in the final game. WoHoo! I can't say enough about her coach or her teammates, we just love them all around. I feel like my mom sitting at the ball fields catching some rays, wearing flip flops(easily removed) so there are no tan lines on my feet. It is amazing the memories you have from childhood and are always there. So as much as I love watching Aubrey on the soccer field(truly where my heart is) I do feel just as home being at the ball fields on a Saturday.

70's night at EVBC
Ok so this one will be totally short and I will post a few more in the up coming days. It has been hectic around here with me recouping from surgery #2 and tons of physical therapy. Three days a week for a couple of hours a day really adds up. Bryttany has started softball this year and loves it and I think Aubrey might even try to play next year, we will see but more info on that later.

Our trip to Denver
As always it was a good time to go visit Colorado and see family and friends. It snowed for the girls and their poor Uncle Mike was the only one who would go outside to play with them. Of course the rest of us watched from the window with a cup of coffee in hand. I did ask Kent to go out and take some pictures, he complained it was cold. Yes this is the same guy who makes fun of me for bringing a sweatshirt to the movies in July. I thought who is cold now? So Kent and some peeps went skiing and had a great time. The girls, Joelle, Ed, Savanah, Alex and my mom all went bowling instead and had a blast. I decided that every child needs to go to Casa Bonita so I drug the whole family there and it hasn't changed a bit. Except I think the divers used to jump from a much higher platform. So it was a good time and I even told Kent if he ever wants to move back, now would be the time because I wouldn't complain but I would miss the heat down here for sure!

Where Have We Been?
Oh where does the time go? Of course we have had stuff happen in between Thanksgiving and now, but I have just forgot to blog. Obviously I am not a good blogger. Anyway, the kids are back at school, Kent is back to work and yes I am still doing physical therapy, yippee. No really, yippee. We are looking forward to March when we will go back to Colorado for a few days, that will give us some blogs. And the girls are both starting their sports here in a few, Bryttany is playing softball and Aubrey is doing Soccer so they both should be a lot of fun, that will keep us busy this Spring.
